About the Gold Reel Film Festival
Founded in 2008, the Gold Reel Film Festival is a UNC Charlotte student-run event dedicated to showcasing emerging student filmmakers. Based at UNC Charlotte, the festival is dedicated to discovering, supporting, and inspiring new voices in filmmaking by providing a professional platform for students to present their work. Held annually each Spring semester, the Gold Reel features a wide range of categories from narrative shorts, documentaries, music videos, animation, and more.
